Pentridge Case Study

This project was for a barn roof in beautiful Pentridge, a lovely village located on the border of Hampshire and Wiltshire. Our customer’s barn was a delightful new-build oak frame structure in desperate need of a new roof with man-made slate tiles. The building was of great size, perfect for our customer’s intentions: a new garage and carriage house. They wished for a more traditional style, perfectly suited to their existing oak build. With this in mind, we used traditional handcrafted tools to capture the essence of the build. However, modern techniques were also utilised for the installation of the scaffold-felt, batten-slated roof with picturesque man-made slate tiles. We take great care in making sure that all techniques are fit to achieve the look and finish that our customers desire.

The Pentridge barn project only took three days; each step to install the slate roof was undertaken to the highest standard. To finalise the project and to guarantee the longevity of their brand new slate roof, we fitted a high quality, new guttering system. This way, any rainwater will flow freely, and the roof is free from any rain damage caused over time. It is important to us that our projects are long-lasting and fantastic investments. Our innovative designs and high quality materials, of course, do the heavy lifting, but taking precautions such as guttering is always a great idea!
